Santa Monica Alleyways

This is where Santa Monica really lives. Super bland. Paved and dirty. Water stains from a month ago. It’s garbage, donations, old furniture, and someone else’s gold all represent the real output of the luxury condos, multi-family buildings, high-end restaurants, dive bars, and the contractors discard on lots lucky enough to get building permits.

The alleyways near the 10 are truncated and offer brief access to the various industrial buildings, all of which have a hole in their fence, allowing the wanderer on the highway’s banks to pass through. These could truly be splendid greenways, sealing out highway noise while opening the city’s routes to pedestrians…

The truth of the city is waiting for those oddballs who wish to run through each to inspect the dwellings and output of the populous.
